Through MT4 and MT5 trading platforms, all your orders should be executed instantly at the existing market price 24/5.

Although all your orders should be executed instantly, there are some cases that cause “Delays” on executing orders.

Here are some examples of “delays on order execution” and reasons.

1. High Volatility

If the volatility in the market price is high, your orders may not be able to be executed at the current market price.

In this case, “Slippage”(difference between the expected execution price and the actual execution price) occur, thus delays in your order execution.

2. Slow Connection

If your device is running slow or the connection speed is slow, then it can directly cause delays on order executions.

To resolve this problem, you need to improve the performance of your device or internet connection.

3. Low Liquidity

If there is no enough market liquidity to execute your orders, then your order may be executed at the next available price.

This is called as “Slippage” and can cause delays in executing orders.
