Every day at 5pm New York Time (23:59 to 00:01 server time), you will note that the platform has a blackout for 2 minutes due to rollover.

In the Global Forex Markets this is widely known as ‘End of Forex Day’.

Monday trading opens at 00:01 (server time)
Rollover period goes from 23:59 to 00:01 (server time)
Friday trading closes at 23:55 (server time)
(all FOREX pairs except USDRUB, USDCZK, and URCZK)

During the rollover time, all the large investment banks around the world reset their systems and prepare for the next trading day. Being an NDD broker, XM FX server also experiences that 2-minute blackout time.

Please note that spreads could be widen and big spikes or volatility may occur around rollover time due to the low liquidity.

For this reason, we strongly recommends its clients to be very careful when trading during the rollover period.
