FXTM Brand Ambassador Lewis Pugh makes a special stop at Plymouth
#FXTMGoesBlue: Lewis Pugh Comes Home!
Plymouth is known as Britain’s Ocean City, renowned for its historical significance as a naval port and scientific research into marine life.
Now, Lewis Pugh – UN Patron of the Oceans – is in the process of making his own history with The Long Swim.
Just a few reasons why Plymouth is so special:
- Lewis was born in Britain’s Ocean City – in 1969
- It is home to the UK’s biggest public aquarium – The National Marine Aquarium – which houses 400 different marine species, and has Britain’s deepest aquarium tank
- The city’s history is long and rich: In 1692, the first Pilgrims sailed from Plymouth towards the New World (America)
On Saturday, July 21, FXTM has planned an entire day of events in Plymouth, including Lewis completing a 500m exhibit swim and an FXTM-presented exhibition at the famous Dome in Plymouth Hoe. Stay tuned!
