Swiss Markets’ Gold Leverage is increased to 1:200
Please note that since 25/11/2019, the default leverage for gold pairs has been changed from 1:100 to 1:200.
Please note that any open gold positions placed before the leverage change have been affected.
This will decrease your margin requirements when trading in gold CFD and will result to double profits or losses depending on whether your trades are successful or not.

Higher leverage for Forex on Swiss Markets MT4
From 25/11/2019 onwards, you also have the option to choose higher leverage for all your FOREX trades.
Please be aware that any leverage change you choose to make will also affect your current open positions.
If you want to see or change your leverage options, please go to the account settings.
Please note that the current leverage setting in the client portal only affects when trading currencies (forex).
For example, if your leverage is 1:400, then this will only impact trading on currencies such as EUR/USD or EUR/GBP. Commodities and indices stay at fixed leverage

How to change the Leverage of Swiss Markets MT4?
To change the leverage setting for your Swiss Markets MT4, follow the instructions below.
1. Login to Swiss Markets Client Portal
First login to your account from the Official Website.
If you don’t have an account yet, please open an account with Swiss Markets.
You can choose from various account types such as the followings:
- STP
Open a Live Account and trade more than 250 CFDs on world-leading platforms. - STP Demo
Open a Demo Account and test your trading skills with $10,000 virtual funds. - STP Raw
Open a Raw account and reduce your trading costs with the ultra-thin spreads.

2. Choose the account
In the client portal of Swiss Markets, choose the account which you like to change the base leverage.
3. Choose the Leverage
Go to “Settings” and choose the leverage you prefer from the drop-down menu.

4. Confirm the leverage change
Confirm the leverage change, then the account leverage of your Swiss Markets MT4 will be updated.
