Question: What is 'No connection' error message on MT4/MT5 platforms?
‘No connection’ appears when you’re not able to establish a connection with the trading server.
To resolve this problem, you may follow the below steps.
1. Check the internet connection on your side
Sometime the error message appears when you are disconnected from your internet connection.
Even if the connection is gone for a second, MetaTrader will lose the connection and stop receiving signals/price quotes.
2. Check if you are selecting the right server for your account
First of all, you need to use the trading platform which you have opened the account with, or it is possible that the right server name will not appear in your trading platform.
Or you can use the MetaTrader trading platform installed from the “MetaQuotes” official website.
So you can use that one trading platform for all brokers’ trading account.
3. Check if the login credentials are correct
MetaTrader also sometimes show the error message when you have typed wrong login credentials to login to your account.
Your broker must have provided you with your specific account number, password and the server name(or IP address).
Please try it again with the correct login credentials and see if you succeeded to login finally.
4. Check if the server selection is correct
This server selection is one tricky thing for logging into MetaTrader, and sometimes brokers provide you with wrong server name or update the name for another.
So, you may want to try to login by selecting other server names and see if your account is eligible for the server.
If none of the above resolved your problem, then you may need to contact your account manager from FxPro Official Website
