Question: How to change leverage of FXPro's MT4, MT5 and cTrader Forex trading account?
To change the leverage of your trading account, log in to FxPro Direct and click on your account number under ‘Account(s)/Actions’, which can be found under the ‘My Accounts’ category.
Select ‘Change Leverage’ from the drop-down menu.
Please note that in order to change the leverage of your trading account, all open positions must be closed.
The maximum leverage which FXPro offers to its clients is 1:500.
Higher Leverage is Higher Risks
Although the maximum leverage 1:500 is very standard among online Forex and CFD brokers, you must know the risks involved to higher leverages.
FXPro has set certain Stop Out Levels which closes all open positions when the margin % of your trading account goes below their pre-set levels.
It is to avoid further losses in your trading accounts.
In case, an account balance goes below zero due to this stop out (liquidation of all positions), FXPro will fix the account balance to zero.
The system is called NBP (Negative Balance Protection), which protects investors from exceeded losses.
