In the Mars’ company latest campaign in the United States Americans were asked to vote for a new M&Ms flavor, one that will be added not just as a special edition, but rather as a permanent addition to the selection of existing flavors.

Well, the nation has spoken and the winner is declared: Coffee Nut M&M’s. The combination of sugary chocolate and coffee sound irresistible, especially in the morning… or in the afternoon… or Midnight, well – who are we kidding? It ALWAYS sounds good. The bad news are that the candy doesn’t actually have caffeine, but we bet that after a bunch of these will be ready to jig anyway, in what we assume will be the sweetest-ever placebo effect.

The two losers of the competition are chili nut and honey nut. Mars said it started this promotion in March 2016 with the aim of coinciding with the 2016 presidential election season. We’re not sure exactly what they mean by that. That there are plenty of nuts in politics? Go figure.
