Available Financial Instruments to trade on FBS MT4 and MT5
Every FBS trader has the opportunity to open positions on different financial assets such as stocks, indices, currencies and commodities – all on one platform.
Forex Currency pairs
In the Forex market, you can buy and sell currency pairs. The first currency in a pair is the base currency, and the next – the quote currency. When you place an order for a currency pair, you are buying the base currency and selling the quote. For example, EUR/USD= 1.122 means you can exchange 1 euro for 1.122 US dollars. The major currency pairs always contain USD and are considered the most popular on Forex. Minor currency pairs or pairs do not involve the US dollar but are still liquid (EUR/GBP, GBP/JPY and EUR/CHF). Exotic currency pairs offer wider spreads, but they are less popular and more volatile. If you don’t feel like an expert, don’t try trading exotic currencies.
Commodity
Commodities are raw materials that can be bought and sold. FBS offers the most popular raw materials such as precious metals ( gold – XAU/USD, silver – XAG/USD, platinum and palladium ), oil ( WTI and Brent ) as well as natural gas. If you open Metatrader you will see WTI Oil and Brent Oil. For example, to trade WTI during July 2020, you should choose WTI-20Q. This is a contract for difference (CFD), the last letter means the month of expiration. WTI-20Q ends in July. To trade Brent oil during August this year, you should choose BRN-20V.

Share (Stock)
In the market, everything costs money. When a company goes public, it is what allows the market to decide what its worth. To do so, the company divides its holdings into a number of fractions and offers to the public to buy them. This fraction is called shares, while the list of total shares is company stock. FBS has a wide variety of large and popular stocks such as Amazon, Apple, Tesla, Google, Facebook and so on. You can see the full list on FBS Official Website.
Stock Index
An index is a basket of individual stocks, often ranked by an independent institution such as a large bank or financial company. The most famous stock index is the S&P 500. It contains 500 large US companies. This index shows the performance of the stock market with the risk and income of these companies. Most traders use it as the main gauge of overall market sentiment. There are also other stock indexes such as the Nasdaq, Dow Jones and others. To trade the indices mentioned above, you should opt for contracts for difference (CFDs), as well as oil CFDs.
