If you are seeing the error message “Waiting for update” on the screen of MT4 or MT5 as below, that means your MT4/MT5 platform is not getting any price quotes on the chart.

To resolve the issue, please try the followings:

1. Hold “Left click” on any symbol in “Market Watch” window and drag it on the chart.

The chart screen may be simply updated and will show a price chart in there.

2. Login to your Account

You may not have logged in to your trading account yet, or you have typed in wrong “Login Credentials” at the login screen and not getting any price data.

3. Try other symbols

The symbol you have selected to get Price data may not be available at all. So try others to see if the problem is there or not.
