Question: I get 'Invalid account' error on MT4/MT5. What is this?
“Invalid account” message is shown at the bottom right corner of MT4 screen, when you have not logged into your account correctly.
In this case, you may have put wrong password or server IP address when you log in.
MT4 Account number
You can check your account numbers in FBS Personal Area.
Please follow the below instruction.
1. Login to your account from FBS official website
You will need the email address registered and the password you have set when you opened an account with FBS.
2. All accounts opened in your name
You should be able to see all the account numbers in the Personal Area, including demo/live accounts.
FBS MT4 Password
FBS MT4 password is shown only once when you opened your accounts.
FBS does not send passwords to your email address, so you need make sure that you save the account passwords.
If you have lost the password, you can retrieve from FBS Personal Area.
In this case, please follow the instruction:
1. Login to the Personal Area and click on the “account number”
Please click on the account number which you like to retrieve the password.
2. Scroll down and click on the “Create New”
3. Click on “Generate Password”
4. Password retrieved
Before closing the window, make sure that you have saved the account information as the password is shown only once.
FBS Server IP Address
When you open a FBS MT4 account, FBS provides server IP address but not server names.
When you login to your account, you need to put the server IP address in the “server” as a login credential.
