When you try to place an order but the order buttons, if “Sell in Market” and “Buy in Market” are grayed out or inactive, there can be some reasons causing this problem.

Order Volume

You may  have chosen an incorrect order volume for this account type.

Also, some CFDs financial instruments are available from 1 lot as it is the smallest trading volume you can place.

Trading Hours

You can not trade Saturdays and Sundays for any financial instruments.

Forex currency pairs are available from 00:00 on Monday to 23:00 on Friday in GMT+2(GMT+3 in DST, summer time) and CFDs have got different market hours for each symbols.

You can find out the available trading hours in MT4 as follows:

1. Right click in the ‘Market Watch’ and select ‘Symbols’

2. Select a symbol and click on’Properties’

Account Types

FBS offers same financial instruments in all account types, so this wouldn’t be the case with FBS though.

Some brokers offer different trading instruments for each account.

Although, you can not Trade forex currency pairs from different account types in FBS as they offer different spread(types).

In this case, please right click in the “Market watch” and select “Show all”.

You will see all the available financial instruments.
