Question: Trailing stop order didn't work in XM MT4/MT5 account. Why is that?
If you have correctly set up a ‘Trailing Stop’ order and it wasn’t triggered, the reason can be either two of the below.
1, The price didn’t reach the first trailing stop line
To trigger a trailing stop, the price needs to move more than the pips(points) you have set in favor of your trade.
If the price hasn’t reached the first point, the trailing stop never starts working.
2, You have closed/logged out from MT4/MT5
Trailing stop works only when you have your platform(and account) opened.
If you log out or close the MT4/MT5, trailing stop order will be cancelled.
