Checking Swap points from MT4

Beside the swap rates table provided in PDF file, you can also find the real time swap rates/points by logging into your MT4 account.

Please note that you can check the real time swap rates in real/live MT4 of GBE brokers, but you may find different swap points in Demo MT4 account.

Please follow the instructions below.

1. Login to your real/live MT4 account of GBE brokers

Demo MT4 accounts sometimes shows swap rates which are not up-to-dated.

Also, swap rates are different in each broker’s account so please login to GBE brokers real/live MT4 in this case.

2. Right click in the “Market Watch” and select “Symbols”

3. Select the symbol which you like to know its swap rates and click on “Properties”

4. See the swap rates in points for long and short positions

Why swap rates are different in each broker?

You may be wondering why the swap rates are different in each broker?

You will need to login to each broker’s live account and find out the real time spread, and some broker even promote themselves as a broker with higher swap points.

This is because each brokers have got different liquidity providers, and each liquidity provider has got different swap rates according to the interest rates charged or credited by its banks(liquidity providers).

GBE brokers has several liquidity providers connected to its platform and the broker adopt the best price(spread) and the best swap points among them for traders.

Swap Trading to earn profits

As GBE brokers is offering excellent swap rates for its traders, the broker may be a better choice for traders who are specialized in swap tradings.

The good news is that GBE brokers is one of the few brokers in the world which allows traders to trade arbitrage using swaps.

This means that you can earn profits by the swap points without being afraid of profit cancellation in the future like other brokers.

*But not all arbitrage tradings are allowed by GBE brokers.

When the swap is charged?

The swap is charged at 00:00 server time in MT4 and the process may take a few minutes or more sometimes.

So the swap charge itself will be occurred around the midnight in the server time.

As the process occurs as midnight, it is also called “Overnight financing” or “Overnight charge” in some cases.

Dividends for Index and Stock CFDs

GBE brokers dose not offer Stock CFDs but Index CFDs.

In case of the Index CFDs, it is not a swap charge to be precise but the process made as dividend/bonus.

So basically you will be credited for the swap points(dividend/bonus) if you hold a long position for a Index CFDs, and you will be charged for the swap points(dividend/bonus) if you hold a short position for a Index CFDs.

Still the credit/charge will be made as swap in MT4, so this may be an extra information.
