iFOREX - What's now?

We are no longer promoting iFOREX. The information regarding to iFOREX on the website 'Hercules.Finance' maybe outdated. ref. iFOREX

When you login to FXnet Trader of iForex, you would see the information of each financial instrument.

And in the “GMT” column, these times can be different in each.

iForex FXnetTrader GMT server time

There are some reasons why these times are different.

Expiration dates

There are contract expiration dates for Index CFDs and Commodities, and also corporate actions which may expire the contract for Stock CFDs(shares).

Once a contract expires for a financial instrument, it will not be available forever as there will be another name of the same instrument created or it will be available soon when the market opens again.

You can find the contract expiration dates of all financial instruments in the contract specification table in the official website of iForex.

Market Hours

You can trade from 00:05 on Mondays to 23:00 with iForex normally.

For some other trading instruments, you can trade limited time and you can also find the market hours in the contract specification.

If the market closes, the trading server will also stop sending signals and the GMT time set will stop at the closing time.

In this case, the market opens in later days and you will be able to trade them soon.

Data from the trading server

There are a bit time difference about 0.01 – 0.0.3 seconds in each financial instruments in FXnet Trader.

This also happens to MT4 and MT5 though, the slight time difference is because the latency of the signals sent from the trading server.

This time difference will not affect tradings, so you may not worry about this.

Internet Connection

If there are a few seconds delays or difference of GMT time, the reason may be the internet connection of yours.

Trading Forex & CFDs are all processed online, and it is one of the most important thing that you have a fine internet connection and speed.

If this might be the case, you may try:

  • closing all other extra application that you don’t need
  • not to use the public Wi-Fi which shares the connection with others
  • or simply get a better connection from the provider by yourself

GMT in FXnet Trader

The time of the FXnet Trader by iForex is set to GMT+0, but not GMT+2 or GMT+3(for DST).

It is always set to GMT+0 and iForex will announce all traders if the GMT offset will be changed for some reason.

FYI, you can not change the GMT offset in the trading platform.
