Question: Why there is a small break when I cannot trade on XM MT4/MT5 platforms?
With XM, you can trade from Monday 00:05 to Friday 23:50 in GMT+2(GMT+3 for summer time)*.
There is this 15 minutes of blank where you don’t receive the price feeds before and after weekends.
This is to avoid risks of slippage and stop out, since volatility is high and spreads are wider around the weekends.
This condition may restrict your trading, but also avoid these risks.
*The trading hour above is for Forex and Metals. For other financial instruments, different trading hour is available. For more information, you may refer to XM’s contract specification or contact the support team.
