Formax Prime is continually improving, upgrading and optimising the trading offering to give you the best pricing, speed of execution and top of book so you have some of the best trading conditions available in the market.
Formax is undertaking a significant upgrade to its bridge infrastructure that connects the MT4 servers to the liquidity providers ensuring you are getting the fastest execution speeds possible.
In order for the broker to facilitate this, they will be migrating all clients from the currently available trading symbols with .c suffix to the plain symbols that have no suffix.
How to implement the changes
On Sunday 2nd September before market open the new plain symbols will be available in your market watch window, in order to make them all visible please follow the following steps.
- Log out of your MT4 trading platform then back in using your usual log in, password and server details
- Right click in your market watch window and select show all
You should then see both symbol sets, the old symbols with .c suffix and the new symbols with no suffix.
All open positions will NOT be effected by the change, open trades done on .c symbols will be set to close only but can be held open indefinitely until you are ready to close out.
Going forwards you will then trade on the new plain symbols in the usual way.
If you use Expert Advisors
If you are using EA’s on your account these may need to be updated to account for the new symbols so please ensure they are ready for the switch over.
Charts may need to be updated also showing the new symbols, to do this simply drag and drop the symbols from the market watch window onto the chart you are looking to update.
