You may be aware that on 3 January 2018, the European Union countries are formally introducing the updated Markets in Financial Instruments Directive, known as MiFID II along with Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (“MiFIR”).
Under MiFIR, Investment firms have to report all transactions executed for and on behalf of their clients.
In this respect, for clients who are natural persons like you, Fortrade is required to collect and verify your National Client Identifier (“NCI”) which is based on your nationality and shall be assigned in accordance with the highest priority identifier available.
The information we hold about you indicates that you need to provide the specified NCI.
Please login to your account and update the required information.
If you do not provide them with the required information you will no longer be able to open new trades from 3 January 2018.
Fortrade may request additional documentation deemed necessary to verify compliance with the regulatory requirements.
