Question: After a "Bad Tick"(stop hunting), what happens to my positions closed unreasonably? Will they be corrected?
A “Bad Tick” or so called “Stop Hunting” are normally considered as an error in price feeds.
In many cases, brokerage firms do correct the numbers and restore all executed positions/pending orders due to this event.
Although some brokers may not take any actions after such event, due to the reason it was caused by liquidity provider’s side and not their fault etc…
In this case, you cannot do anything for now, but contact the brokerage firm’s regulatory authority for an investigation.*
*You need to visit the official website of your broker’s regulatory authority, and follow the procedures provided by them.
